Next, please note that I am not endorsing this product or any similar product and I imagine this could be found on other sites. I don't own the product but have seen it at our local flea market and wish I had the money/time/space, etc. to have one.
My thoughts on this subject are:
Grow Your Own Worms as these can be used to go fishing with if you are in an area that has a pond or lake.
The worm poop is fantastic fertilizer to enrich your garden soil, or if you don't have enough for the entire garden, use it to enrich the starting pots in which you begin your vegetable seeds.
If you end up with an over abundance of the worms, transplant a few to the garden area to aerate the soil. Or, you would have this excess amount to use as a trade/barter with someone for something else you might need.
