Just finished sorting 2 brinks boxes by hand. Here's the results:

Box#1 - 25.72%

8 - Canadians
15 - Wheats
68 - 1982
643 - Coppers 1959-1981

Box#2 - 25.24%

2 - Canadians
13 - Wheats
108 - 1982
631 - Coppers 1959-1981

No Ryedale so keeping the 1982's for now separate.

I broke down six months ago and bought a small coin scale. Accurate to the tenth of a gram up to 200 grams.

For the 82's, I weigh them individually to weed out the Zincolns.

Then, before I wrap the coppers, I weigh them 5 at a time. If the five coins weigh less than 15.3 grams, I probably have a Zincoln in there.

I don't know how many coppers get into my zinc bag, but I'm quite sure that there aren't any zincs in my copper rolls.

Plus, you should separate the Canadians as well. The steel Canadians can get slipped back into circulation... :)

Oh yea almost forgot. I made it to a full box of coppers after the first box! First milestone in my hoarding.

Congratulations brother! I remember when I first started and my goal was a 1 liter Pepsi bottle full. You will get there, just don't give up!

Now I can forsee my next problem. I remember how nervous I was just ordering pennies in bulk (usually 2 boxes at a time). Now how to go about hauling a 3.5 Gallon bucket full of pennies to deposit back in my account. Wondering how the ladies will end up lifting it up to the machine. Or if there is a nicer way to do it. Then the next bucket, then the next, then the next. I know most tellers I hear of are mostly nice but I still feel weird about it.
