Hunting for valuable coins is a habit forming venture. I told myself I wasn't gonna buy any more dimes. The last box didn't have any silver. Anyway, I just got back from the bank and I got a box of dimes, nickels, and pennies. I have found the following:
1. 1312 wheat pennies.......1909-1958 2. 6 steel pennies 1943 3. 1 indian penny 1904 .. in good shape 4. 5 buffalo nickels .. 3 without dates .. 1 - 1935 .. 1 - 1937 5. 6 silver dimes .. 1937, 1944, 1960, 1962, 2- 1964s, 6. 1 - penny from a mint set 7. (several pesos and centavos) 8. 1 - 1993 20 swiss franc 9. 2 - Bahamian pennies 10. 2 - Bermuda nickels 11. 1 - 2 pfennig german coin 12. 1 - 1968 half dollar (40% silver) 13. 16 - war nickels (forgot to list these earlier) 14, 20 - 1964 half dollars (90% silver)
My current silver is approx 271.5 grams or 8.73 ounces.

No, no - Dan is talking finds to date for sure. I remember Dan has been collecting wheats for a while. Nice collection from circulation. Who says you can't find great coins for face value.

I wish I could get that in one day! I've been collecting wheats for over a year now. I just started sorting nickels and dimes. In fact I just got back from the banks. Today and yesterday, I have bought two boxes of dimes, four boxes of nickels, two boxes of pennies, and $30 of half dollar rolls. I'm not real optimistic on the halves because even though they came from the bank's money center, you can tell they were hand rolled. Surely if an employee who's rolling up halves and spots a keeper, then they're gonna keep it? Right? I gotta do like HPBT and order bags of half dollars.

Tellers don't roll. If you got rolls, they either came from customers or a company (like brinks) boxes.

Tellers do roll. I caught them rolling halves at Regions to send to other branches (to save from purchasing). One of the tellers told me I was not going to find anything in them and I certainly didn't.
