if you have seen the newer Can pennies you know what im talking about. The older pennies had a wonderful design, almost regal. Just a very lovely coin. I have one cant remember the date but its a late 00 date. It just looks like sh!te. I dont even knwo how to explain it really. It has the same basic design but it just looks i dont know kinda cartoony or something.
The easiest way to make any coin ugly is to lower the relief. Mints around the world have been doing so since the 1960s. Even Saint-Gaudens couldn't have created beauty with such shallow pressings.

Just got a 1974 and a 2007 quarter from the till at work tonight. same thing with these. i dont know but Can coins have went from my favorite to the bottom of the list they just look terrible lol I hope the US coins do not go this way....
