About a year ago, my truck got a flat and instead of putting the spare back under the truck, I threw it in the bed and drove with it there until last week when someone stole it. It was a rusted rim with a worn tire. The only reason I can think of is maybe it had scrap value. What would a f150 rim be worth?

steel rims go as "short steel" at yards. Like less than 3 feet I beleive. Soon as steel gets back up I have a stack to scrap myself! I acquire honestly tho.

If a tire holds air (use a can of Fix-A-Flat) and is mounted it is worth $10.00 to any of the "guest workers" from Mexico/Guatemala in my neck of the woods.
I've sold LOTS of worn out rubber like that just because I'm friends with a local gas station proprietor.
If you can stick a penny in the tread and it covers Lincoln's hair the price will jump up to the $20-$50 range.
Rubber on 15" and 16" Ford or Chev rims for trucks or vans is preferred.

There's profit if you melt things!!
