I also took a shot at $50 in halfs and got SKUNKED but they said they had $350 more but I didnt have cash or an account there but I may go back tommorrow for those!
Also hand sorting sucks, I must get automated soon!
Ryedale is the way to go, but I fell that you should sort at least $200.00 by hand to fully appreciate it first!!
If you prefer a digital scale is a lot faster than hand sorting. Just look at the readout and slide em off left or right. And you can do multiples once you get the feel of it. Harbor Freight has digital scales on sales at times for as little as 9.95.

That Canadian is 98% copper and heavier then your Cu Memorials so nice find. 2 euro cents is worth more then a penny too.
Any bank with $400 in halfs sitting around might be someone's dump, but you never know. Look for marks on the paper rolls or coin edges - many sorters mark dumps distinctively to save themselves and others time. Welcome to the madness.
