Dang that it wasn't an "S" but I'm not complaining! I was just looking down at my zinc pile and saw a coin that looked really old and couldn't believe it when I picked it up! So now I'm really salivating over the prospect of finding an Indian Head!

The really cool thing--believe it or not--this was straight out of a Brinks box!

Nice find. do you collect or will this find its way to a dealer to fund more penny purchases?

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark

It'll probably find its way to a dealer...unless someone here wants to make an offer first. I don't have enough spare time to get into heavy-duty coin collecting, just copper collecting (and reselling copper to buy silver). I'll see if I can get photos of the penny and post it on here.

Very cool - I've found two 1909 V.D.B.'s as well and three plain 1909ers.

I can't even buy a Brinks box for $8 Oh well, I'll just put the souvenir on the wall to spur me on toward finding wild Indians.
