Hi all,
I hate to say it, but I think people are catching on to our little hobby.
I went to my bank and the post office Monday, and when I was depositing my zinc and non-silver coins, some booming irritating lady behind me in line said, "what, were you looking for gold in those coins??" I laughed, slowly backed toward the door, and ran away.
Later that same day, I shipped some Cu pennies, and when I set the box on the Post office counter, the teller said, "wow, that's heavy, what are you shipping, gold?"
Sigh,,,
Precious metals are clearly on the tip of everyone's tongue nowadays, can our hobby last much longer if people catch on?
FWIW, the the two people in question were both old ladies, so hopefully their eyes aren't sharp enough to roll hunt!!! (no offense to older members in present company..)

But until that day occurs, we're just "weirdos" and "extremists."
Sounds okay to me- the longer it takes for people to catch on the better! |
