Anyone have a Canadian price guide or a good idea of howmuch the following Canadian halves(50 cent pieces) are worth?

1941, 1942 and 1943 all in BU MS60-63 condition.

Thanks!

Your Canadian 1/2s are 80% silver and each contain 0.30 troy oz. Since they are MS we can assume no wear. So melt is about US$5.00 each or about 10X face today. Content info is off my spreadsheet, data from Huxby Coins of Canada table. I am no expert on collector values and don't have my Huxby book with me here.

Sorry to be a bit short..... but you didn't provide any useful info.

Is there ANYONE THAT ACTUALLY has a priceguide or intimate knowledge of COLLECTABLE older Canadian halves?

Ok from Charlton's Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins 2009. Released less then a month ago.

1941 two types wide date and narrow date hard to describe but try and google it.

MS-63 WD $100 ND $90
Ms-60 WD $40 ND $35

1942 again wide date and narrow date

MS-63 WD $90 ND $80
MS-60 WD $40 ND $35

1943 again wide date and narrow date

MS-63 WD $200 ND $175
MS-60 WD $40 ND $35

I think that is what you need.

As previously stated I collect for Silver value, not collectable value. Hope you can use the info by Steiner.

That is okay legacy, I had just thought I would avoid such basic analysis by posting this in the Numismatic category and by mentioning that they are ms60-63.

Steiner, Thanks! I appreciate the info!
