I picked up 4 bags of cents from a bank last week and fineally got to the last one. First thing out was a Knotts Berry Farm smashed penny. Then I get almost to the bottom and I see a 1916D wheat, in pretty bad shape.
Next handfull and something I have never seen in the wild before an 1891 Indian Head Penny. I guess it is only in good shape. The only wear patten is LIBERTY is gone. My oldest coin and my first indian.

Congrats Dan! That first one is a real thrill. But you know what? Every one after that is still a thrill. Maybe there are only wild Injuns out here in Calfifornia.

"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is not baying after what you can't have. Rich is having the time to do what you want to do. Rich is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells. Rich is not owing any money to anybody, and not spending what you haven't got." Robert Ruark
there are too wild Indians... there are too wild Indians... there are too wild Indians...-----still taunted
Indeed, it is a thrill each time - just found my third Indian in 6 weeks last night - an 1887 to keep my other 2 Indians company - an 1883 and a 1907. Tex - they are definitely out there - keep the faith.
