Me do dance.
Me still last of the Mohicans, at least in Texas.

Yippee cay yah!
Found an 1893 in a $50. bag from a local bank tonight. She's in decent shape for a 115 year old.
Good rims, lots of wear and a few small scratches, but still has decent details and a nice natural copper color.

Longhorn, are you a University of Texas Longhorn, and did you find that Indian Head in Texas?

TenBears, he might have reaped the rewards from your dance.

You may have been facing the wrong direction. Make sure to face west when doing the dance.

Ah, me think me know why TenBears no find Indian cent. Him have tribes confused. If I remember correctly the Mohicans were native to the New England area. Through being resettled a few times they got as far west as Wisconsin, so maybe copperpennies might find an Indian cent, but never as far as Texas. Me think TenBears needs to study tribal history more.. or move much closer to east coast like Pennsylvania.

Congrats on finding your Indian longhorn!

I thought the wild Indian cult had captured you, and now it has been confirmed!

At any rate, congratulations on your finds. That is a little frustrating however. I have sorted several hundred thousand with no Indians. And, you with 50k and 3 Indians. Your copper vein is just better than mine.

So, still no IH find in the Lone Star State. Texas is like a huge black hole when it comes to finding Indian Heads.

I saw Tim had "allegedly" discovered some wild Indians in another thread. So, I just had to come over here and search to see if he had posted. I can't believe I missed his announcement. Or, maybe I just forgot. At any rate, there is hope for TenBears in Texas. Brings a tear to his eye that he may not be the last wild Indian in Texas. Heck, TenBears may have to make a mid-week bank run because he is so excited about the prospect of wild Indians in Texas.

However, texcattlerancher is fairly perplexed by the apparent spread of the wild Indian pathogen into Texas. There may be another post in the Rational Thinkers club as soon as time permits some creative thought. Maybe this weekend.

Some of your findings make me want to sort more! I have quite a "strategic reserve" right now. I need to get them sorted and I need to get more unsorted pennies! I need IH!!!

I found my 4th Indian head today! It is a 1907 in very nice condition, my best yet. With more luck and my average of 1 in 50k, i may become the new chief.
