I was reading something about Lincoln Cents the other day and there was a list of errors to look for. Anyway, one mentioned was a 1983 struck on copper planchets. I've started checking the '83s I find. Anyone here ever find one?
I occasionally toss an 83 on my tile counter while sorting to see If I get a ring. Nothing yet. I put the 1983 copper in with the 1959 wheat- coins I don't expect to find while hand sorting.
I have a bunch of 1983s off to the side to check for double dies. Anyone want to loan me a scale? I will report back my % of finds.

`Everybody is ignorant. Only on different subjects.' Will Rogers
"This is the shabby secret of the welfare statists' tirades against gold. Deficit spending is simply a scheme for the "hidden" confiscation of wealth. Gold stands in the way of this insidious process. It stands as a protector of property rights. If one grasps this, one has no difficulty in understanding the statists' antagonism toward the gold standard." Alan Greenspan, 1966.
