I was always so envious whenever I heard people post about finding multiple wheats. I finally got two pure rolls (drive-buy rolls), and they were even labeled! It was nothing spectacular, but still very exciting none the less.

Great find there! I like doing drive buy's to get customer wrapped pennies 'cause there's always that chance.
I'm still waiting for my lucky day where I find that many wheats or my first Indian Head.
I've got three steel wheats so far though, and my 1909 vdb.
Which still hasn't managed to grow an s yet.

Its always fun to find some wheats! My wife went through a $25 box of hand rolled and found 91 wheats. That box also had about 50% copper. You never know!

Lucky find! i found 10 rolls of wheats the other day... but they were in a box of stuff that i had from when i collected coins as a kid. i'd forgotten all about them. i mined them from my parents 5-gallon change jug back in the late 80s. |
Considering Verizon Business service? Perhaps you'd like to consider a nice drain cleaner enema instead? |

Nice! I get excited even when I only find 9-10 wheats in a $25 box. |

| Very nice find! Unfortunately for me, the banks I use make people take them out of the rolls and put the loose coins through the coin counter, so I will probably never see this kind of thing happen. My best bet is to either find a box that had a recently dumped collection put into it (happened once and the percent was around 54% 1959-82 copper, roughly 40 wheat cents) or I might be lucky enough to spot silver in the teller tray. |
My hobby: collecting real money 1 copper cent or nickel at a time.

I just got about $80 in customer wrapped coins that the teller told me the customer told him were wrapped back in the early 80's.
I don't know if they were sorted for wheats back then (I'm willing to bet they were) but I do know there will be lot's o' copper for me tonight! |

I found 50 rolls of OBW brand new shiny wheats in an ammo can in my back storage room the other day. I had forgotten I had them. |

| My wife is a 3rd grade teacher and today in class one of her boy students was playing with three pennies in class making a pain of himself. My wife noticed that the cents appeared old and asked if he would mind trading them for three new shiny ones? He agreed and of course all there were copper and one a wheat cent. |

I hand sorted 4 rolls of the $80, nothing newer than 1985.
No wheats though, so I'm pretty sure that what I have are the rejects from this persons search for wheats when he was younger.
Quite all right though, as I'm sure the $80 will be mostly copper. |
