Kind of new to this whole hoarding thing, but I did a drive buy, which I believe is the correct term and stopped at a local credit union and picked up about $20, which was all they could give me. To my surprise I found a 1995-S proof penny in a roll???? Does that make any sense? How does a proof penny end up in circulation. The problem is it now has a bunch of finger prints on it, but you can see how beautiful the coin would be if those darn finger prints were not on the front of the coin.
Questions: 1. any thoughts of how the proof penny got into circulation? 2. Any idea what if anything I can do to somehow get the penny back to a proof state?
