not a date- that's the number of wheats I pulled out of a $50 bag tonite!!! I have another bag with a ton of wheats showing. I'll be gone for a week so I won't be able to search it or post details/pics til later....
Update:
I sorted the rest and got 623 copper pennies for a total of 50.64%. Hilights so far are 2 - 1909's and a 1911 with a clipped planchet. I'll post pic's later.
The next bag looks just as good - I've gone through about $10 and pulled over 200 wheats so far.
1219 wheats in bag #2. 39.2% copper incl. wheats. 3128 total wheats for both bags. Also found many dimes and over 10 Canadian Kings. Here are pics of all wheats from both bags:
bank teller told me today that she recently had a customer turn in 30 rolls of wheats. It was written on the roll. She gave them out to another customer. I asked he to keep me in mind next time.
That's great Tim! Sure beats the heck out of what you have been getting lately. Looking forward to hearing the report on the other bag and if you find any better dates in these.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Very impressive...I've been sorting cents for numismatic purposes for the last 3 three years and just got into this whole copper thing. I don't recall ever getting more than 100 wheaties in a box. Congrats on stumbling on that collection!

Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams
