went to coinstar this morning to get a circuit city gift card. the machine says i put in 17 quarters,17 nickels,17 dimes, but all i had was pennies! the machine said that it could not continue because the hopper was jammed. the lady came over with the key,opened the coinstar up and cleaned out the insides with an alcohol swab then picked up all the change from the floor(mostly quarters),all the change in the catch basin under the place you put your coins, and put them in my empty bag i carried the pennies in with. all said and done, i couldnt get the gift card because when the machine opened up i guess it defaulted to the cash voucher option, so after the "fees" my 2500 hand counted zincs turned into $41.50.......not bad. i also found a 1918 large canadian penny that she put in my bag. so i got paid $16.50 to dump my zinc!!
