I'm sure that this isn't the record, but I'm pretty proud. I left the house with the little one at 10:00 for an unscheduled zinc run. While out, I hit 5 banks, making a wide arcing circle that led me straight home. At each bank I used my son's cuteness to receive a day's total of $53 in hand-rolled pennies and at least 750 free penny wrappers. By the end of our journey, my son's face was a violet color from all the bank lollypops he was getting. Later, he even got a Power Ranger and some treats at the supermarket for his troubles. A great day!

Ah the old using the innocence of children to melt the hardened heart of a bank teller.

Were you able to exchange your sorted zinc for unsorted pennies, or were you just getting unsorted pennies from banks that you didn't have an account with?

Way to use what you have....hehe. Did you ask for any boxes?

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

There are so many branches belonging to my two primary banks within a 10 mile radius that I don't even have to bother with the other banks...yet. Luckily I have two large orders coming in from different branches just this week on top of a few 'private' purchases that could total in the hundreds, so luckily there's plenty to sort, and thus I didn't have to ask for any boxes. Finally, it's important to stay somewhat liquid (can't spend all of my money on pennies), so that one is able to take advantage of other opportunities.

...Other opportunities, what other opportunities could there be? Surely there aren't any better deals than the 2 for 1 we are getting right now!

Yes, I've brought my sons along before and it does really help things go more smoothly... Though I don't let him have a lolly at each bank, just at the first, and maybe the last if he's been very good. And i'm sure to take it out before we go into the next bank so that it doesn't show that I've been bank hopping!? :)

I tend to spoil my kids because I grew up very poor.

Other opportunities = gold going to $1600 and silver to $35 by 2009. Mark my words.
