I was really busy Saturday morning. Had to drop off my daughter for one of those SAT subject tests (11th grade) in a town about 10 miles away. Hadn't done any "banking" there in a few months. Found $560 in halves, half were someone elses dump, $2 in dimes, and about $450 in cents. The cents were accumulated over two weeks.
In the halves I found 2-90% JFK and 7-40% The reason I only got $2 in dimes is because a teller overheard me talking to another teller and asked if I collected coins. I said yes and she pulled out 19 silver dimes, 3 were mercs. I asked her how much she wanted and she said $1.90. She had been saving them for about three years.
On the cents, as I said, took me two weeks to get all those, half was this last Saturday. I had to carry every pound up one flight of stairs. Sunday I went through every single one in my Ryedale. I got about $100 in copper cents, a big handfull of wheats (more than 2 rolls) several foreign coins and almost $5 in dimes.
Now over the next several days I need to machine count, bag and return a lot of zinc.
I timed a bag of cents on my Ryedale. 12 min 45 sec. Thats 392 per min. That was non stop feeding at a fast pace. Only turned off the machine one time to change the zinc box.

The $1.90 dime sale would have made my week. She saved you at least $18.10! Maybe someday... |

Made my day too. But not as good as a few months ago a teller gave me 13 silver quarters for $3.25, but he had been saving them for me I come in every week. |
