An interesting find tonight on my mid week run. I found a moped that had been in a fire! As I was loading in up a guy came out and asked if I wanted a few other pieces that went to it. It should be interesting to tear down. The wheels are cast AL. And part of the seat base is AL also. Tearing down the motor should yield a few nice pieces as well. Should be fun. I like taking things apart almost as much as I like selling them! As long as I don't have to put them back together that is!

Are you throwing that out?

I have one in the back of my truck. The only alum on mine looks like the handlebars same set up as a kids scooter

Half the fun for me scrapping is taking stuff apart, whether it is something small, removing windings from an eletric motor or processing an AC unit. In a way it is therapeudic.
