I have a question about old copper hammers. I have 2 copper hammers that weigh about 4lbs a piece, I was wondering if they were pure copper or an alloy?

Good question. Seems to me it would be an allow, since if it was too pure it would be too soft to use as a hammer.

those are probably soldering hammers and probably pretty pure.

A member put a lot of these up for auction in the past 3-6 months.

Check on ebay for 'welding'+'copper'+'hammer' or replace welding with soldering.

They look like miniature sledge hammers. I'll check ebay to see if I see a match.
