One of the recycle yards I go to has a website, and one of the pages is what they pay for certain metals. The nice thing about this page is that in the upper right hand corner there is a date for the last day it was updated. I noticed that it was updated yesterday, so I compared a printout I had made that was dated 07/06 and saw that tin, short iron, long iron and cast iron all went up 10.00 per ton. Anyone else seeing a rise in their prices?

Don't know, I emailed them about that some time ago and they never responded. Guess I need to call them. |

Called them up, and after some run around got someone who knew what he was talking about. It sound like it is a term the company came up with. He said it is aluminum with some non-aluminum pieces on it, like plastic, a couple of steel screws, etc. He said there could not be a whole lot on there, but the fact there is it could not be counted as regular aluminum. |
