1968 Canadian dimes were minted in two alloys: 50% SILVER and a steel (92% steel, 5.5% copper, and 2.5% nickel coating) alloy. Take a magnet and see if your dime sticks to the magnet. If it doesn't, it's 50% SILVER.... If it does, it's the steel 1968 dime. |

Country, Im currently in IL. I go back and forth but for the next month or so Im, going to try my luck with halves in IL. IL district is better for pennies than TX and im hoping the same with halves |

When it comes to tracking in this thread, your home state is the one I use. It gets too complicated to track multiple states for one searcher. So, if Texas is the one for you, that is where your finds will be. |

Thanks Country, that's what I thought, but I just couldn't remember for sure. I crossed my fingers and put my magnet near it and......nothing happened! |

39 - 40's 4 - 64 Kens. 3 - Bens (one of which I would say is BU shape will full bell lines, this went into my 7070 type set) 3 - Walkers (37, 39, 41) Stone Mountain Commemorative (second one in 3 weeks!) 1- very flat quarter (found in between two halves in a roll)
