I am looking at some of the prices on 40% halves on EBay. What prices would you buy at $2 to $2.20? I know you can search for them so please limit your 50 cent comments.

Per coinflation they are valued at $2.63 right now. I prefer to find them through sorting, but if I was going to purchase them I supposed I'd pay in the $2.50 range.

40% always sells at a discount to spot. so if you look hard enough you can find it below spot.
Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

There are a lot of people trying to sell these on ebay for 2.25-2.5 x face value shipping included. But this doesn't include the fees the seller will pay after the auction ends.

The result of the auction was $4.7 X face.

Silver price was $17.8ish according to coinflation on the day that the auction ended. This made the silver content worth $5.27 X face

So, I guess you can expect an 11% to 12% discount from silver value for your 40%

Great I passed on 100 40% halves on ebay they sold for $199 plus 6 to ship.
