It is interesting that some posts about 2009 cents have popped up because yesterday when I went to pick up some pennies I ordered, they gave me 4 boxes of 2009 D Lincoln professional life design! (is that considered the LP3?) I'm new to the penny scene so I am glad I have them, but what are these going for now? (I have 13 boxes of 2010 P Lincolns from previous pick ups.)

I thought this seemed a bit odd, but is this common to get full bank boxes of the previous year so late? I'm ready to sell or trade, but I don't know what is a realistic value/price. (I also picked up $3,000 in halves so I'm hoping for a profitable afternoon!)

Thanks.

Greetings and welcome to the forum. Are all 13 peek a boo boxes? You know, holes on the top where you can see they are all new pennies? Or are they Brink boxes where they are solid boxes with stickers noting what's inside? Might be some interest from some of us on the forum in taking some of these off your hands. Again welcome!

They are the "peek a boo" boxes and they are 2009 D. I opened one box to make sure they were all the same, and sure enough, they are. Is it common to get boxes of previous years pennies so late in the following year?

Don't dump the shields!! You can get $40-50 for it selling on ebay or here, or make a nice trade for copper cents. I recently got a box of shields and traded for $35 face of CU cents.
