Over the last couple of years I was an occasional opportunistic scrapper until this past winter when I started looking around more often. I noticed an increase in roadside scrap from late Febuary through the middle of April (grills, lawn chairs, mowers, appliances, etc.). Since that time though I'm guessing I don't find half as much as I used to. I've found one appliance in the last month when I used to average two or three a week. Admittedly I've seen a few new scrappers on my routes, but competition has always been fierce in Orlando.

For those of you who drive around on trash night my question is have you seen a dramatic decline in scrap and if so, why?

Prices were very high the begining of this year. Lot's of people out of work or hours cut back, so yea a lot more competition out there!
