These "tricks" always work... until they don't.
My comments; Watching the way the PMs are jerking around in here is a bit nerve wracking. But there's a story to be told and it goes like this. When you see volatility like this it usually precedes a significant move, most of the time on the downside. I personally am not convinced that [the downside] will be the case this time, but I am convinced there will be a significant move in price soon, and I mean either 800 or 1500. I think most of us are right in the middle... not positioned well enough for either.

You need to pay off your mortgage, buy life insurance and annuities.
Think tax-exempt municipal bonds. The end is near. The way your posts suggest, your thinking 10 years out.
You need to think t-bills, social security, maybe some long term care insurance.
