The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

Thought for a second there you had found one Country. Amazing coin.

I guess now would be a good time for me to finally sell both of mine. Or should I hold out a little longer?

I'd sell your two lowest grade ones and keep the PCGS Specimen-67 for a bit longer :)

Silly, both of mine are Specimen-67's.

And yes, that does make the selling decision so much more difficult!

:-P~

The sale went to a museum though and not an indvidual.

The 33 double eagle still is in a record of its own.

$1 to 7.85 million sounds like a good deal for the person holding it, but it is only 7.63% interest per year!

It's fairly easy to average that, so if you are thinking of "get rich in 216 year schemes" holding on to a coin may not be the best :)

now that is a beautiful coin, I hate our current coins there is to much going on. why not make them simple and regal.
