Found a really cool 1973D penny today with a portrait of JFK stamped into the penny above the date and between Lincoln's face and the edge.

Anyone else find these? A lot of effort for someone to make a die and just stamp one.
Life is more than getting from point A to point B.

These were sold in Coin Shoppes in 1973 on the anniversary of his death. I do not know what company did this, but they were sold as commemoratives. Obviously many found their way into change.

I've found several of the JFK pennies, along with a state or two and some other stuff stamped into them...one looks like some sort of 'Masonic" style symbol.

I keep them in my 'funny money' collection
