Same corner store that yields silver on occasion. A '63 Washington quarter. The tell tale jingle gave it away before I even saw it. One to the pile....

Got a 1975 Canadian nickel in change today, one more for the pure nickel pile. It would be nice to see the nickel prices from a couple years ago again. |

Nice finds guys. Keep looking. I forgot to post about the silver I got from the DMV last month. A quarter even! I'm on a roll this year. I can search boxes or bags of dimes, quarters, halves, whatever and I find little or nothing. But I can fairly frequently pull it from circulation, go figure....

Forgot about posting in this topic when my penny was returned from being graded.
It was a 1999 Wide AM that I got back in change.

Got a wheat cent from a friend yesterday. He had just gotten it in change earlier in the week. So I swapped him for it--my two cents for his one cent.

A 1958 wheat from the bank after cashing in zinc. I always make my cash outs end in 4 or 9 cents to get back more coin to check. |

Another silver quarter today. Early Christmas present for me. I received it back in change at lunch. Nothing special, just a '53 D, but silver is silver. I had a very good year pulling silver directly from circulation. To next year....

Not really a pocket change find, but I was in a gas station and a lady paid for an item with an 1889 o Morgan. The cashier bought it from the cash register and I bought it from her for spot. Its in good shape (not really a good grader) LIBERTY is sharp and most of the feathers. Too bad I didnt get to speak with the lady and see what she had... Second hand pocket change? Gramps collection reduced to face value. |

2 1940P and a 1945P Quarter from a change machine. The other coin was a 2009 US Virgin Islands State Quarter.
Tried again with a $5 bill.....no joy. The machine was depleted of quarters for the kiddie rides next to it. |

Was given a 1960 quarter last night in change from a restaraunt. Almost balances out the overpriced beer they sell. |

Found a 1956-D wheat penny in change not too long ago. Nothing that special, but probably one of my best pocket change finds. |
