Hey Guys-
First reply for this one. I can't believe the % of copper you all find. I have gone through 500,000 pennies since October, 07 and average 19.6 % copper. Out of this, 1200 wheats and 2 IH. I find that the hand rolls around Houston are worse than machine rolls with a few exceptions. Bags are about the same but contain fewer wheats. On the other hand, I do well with silver. |

Bout time you started posting, Tim! You know the coin hunting game well by now, so I'm sure you know what to do if your percentages are low.
And 2 IH is more than most collectors have ever found in the wild. Congrats. |

| Welcome to the board Tim. That percentage last night was atypical for me.. usually my percentages run around 20%. But I have been having a good run the last few weeks. Got 99 Silver coins in 6 rolls of halves and found 6 Indian Heads last week.. tripling my lifetime total. If you don't know the answer to fiatboy's query just read my signature line. |

Texas Tim,
Wow , I live in houston also. Those handrolls your buying could be my rejects if you buying them in Conroe texas or willis , Hunstsville banks. I hope your not geting geting my rejects from your banks your buying from.
I been working 80 to 90 hours each week in last few monlths trying pull copper, silver or get ikes, or anything I can find for ebay sales. I been working about 20 banks so far and may try to hit all the banks in huntsville each week. I drive my car and try hit every bank once or twice each week in part of houston. Its fun.

I love those fed boxes and hoard up pre 64 silver coins such as rolls of 64 half dollers. Maybe copper will be very expensive such as silver is. |

Great job on the percentage, I misguided you a bit, but you figured it out, need the coppers divided by the total sorted. Still a great percentage at 30+ percent.

Had to work all day today so only got 5 boxes sorted tonight. Did manage to scare up some more boxes at the banks yesterday and today though, to keep my stack from becoming depleted.
Sorting report for today: 5 boxes BWR pennies 2549 Copper 1 darn dime 20.39%
Coin Buying Report Wells Fargo - Pinole 8 boxes BWR pennies Looks like this regular weekly pickup is back on track after the holidays. They got me all excited when they asked me "How many do you want?" (They should never ask me that.. LOL) "How many do you have?" I replied. Turns out they only had my 8 boxes. And here they got me all excited thinking I was going to get a bunch of extra boxes from them.
Wells Fargo - Livermore 60 CWR pennies 1 Box BWR pennies
Bank of America - Livermore 24 Boxes BWR pennies |

I know, I know....really thinking hard about it. Main problem, of course the zinc disposal. I'm not camping out for 4+ hours in front of the change counter to dispose of zincs. Can't find any bank to take my loose zincs. Only roller I have is a Royal Sovereign. Great machine, just wont keep up with the Ryedale.

| Technically, you are already holding your zincs. You just have them mixed in with your copper in those unsorted boxes right now. Probably an Indian Head cent hiding in there somewhere too. The RS is certainly a big step up from hand rolling. I used mine for a few months before upgrading to a Glory automatic rolling machine.. I have 2 of them now. I got the rolling machines prior to getting my Ryedale because I knew zinc disposal was going to be a crucial part of the equation. Since then I have found one of my banks that will let me turn them in by the bag. That is much more convenient since my counters are even faster than my rolling machines. Of course if you find a bank that will take them by the bag you will need a good quality counting machine. A guy just can't have too many coin machines. |

I don't have a good estimate on copper percentage this week as I didn't weigh the bank bags before I sorted them. So I will low-ball at 25% cu.
Report For Last 7 Days:
33 boxes equivalent (includes 4 $50 dollar bank bags) 20,625 coppers hoarded
1919 wheat 1908 Indian 1903 Indian
