Found a clad dime in a roll of cents last night. No big deal, happens fairly often. What was Twilight Zone about this dime though, was why it had been included. It was identical in color to a deeply toned brown copper coin. Not sure if it was rusted or what, but I almost missed it, it blended in so well with the other discolored pennies in the zinc pile. Into the bag of "weird finds" you go, my litto friend
I have found brass, gold, silver colored cents... I guess someone experimenting with plating? Also found what must be a zinc planchet... it had the rim but was convex (or is it concave?) on both sides with no details. Weighed 2.5gms.
