Today I acquired a butt load of C-lights for $4. Last year my scrap yard took them as the same price as Ele. Motors, 10 cent per pound.


Does this price sound normal to you guys? Also has anyone ever attempted to take the bulbs off to get a higher price? (like #2 wire)

cut off the bulbs and get #2 ins wire price for them. I just got $1.00 a pound for ins wire and elect motors were .18 a pound.

Thats what I am going to try. Turns out I picked up 70 pounds of the stuff for $4. So at .18 a pound for $12.60 or putting the effort in to get $60 pounds of #2 after bulb. But thats cutting off what seems 100's of lights.

It is a ton of lights to cut. My wife has to cut them out of trees and arrangements at her work, I now have her saving them wire for me.

I've cut off many lights. Now that the prices are up, it's wort doing it again.
