Found a Barber Dime My first
bag of $500 from their counter With 8 Silver dimes
1 !907 barber good date but worn
2 mercury 1944, 45
5 Roosevelt's
Plus
1 Cinco centavos 1976 Mexican coin
1 1987 New Zealand one cent
6 US cents only one copper
Return count was $499.10 after I replaced the 8 Dimes
But with the finds THATS OK |

Way to go on the Barber find!! I found a Barber dime (1912) 2 years ago in a box of dimes, and they're a blast to find!! |

MORE SOLID BU 1994-P BOXES!! YUCK!!
I've now got 41 of these 1994-P BU boxes out of my last 45 $500 half boxes!!
Since all I get from my source bank is BU boxes, I'm going to use these BU boxes to get me some SILVERs. I'm going to go to my dump bank branches in a fixed rotation and top off their coin counter half bags. Any customer coins that come into these banks go to the coin counter, including paper rolls which are opened and dumped into the coin counter. There will be dumps found in these bags, but there's gotta be some good stuff too. I've already got the OK from one nearby branch to buy bags that are filled and I am planning to go to other branches. I've got plenty of BU halves to top their bags!!
I'm getting some SILVER dimes in boxes and I'm having fun sorting pennies for copper. |

This week my source bank had something a little different for me: square half dollar boxes with two layers of rolls, and Brinks wrappers on the rolls. Usually I get the flat N.F. String boxes and wrappers. I don't know what company actually delivers the coins. It's a better week for silver than I have had in a while, so I can't complain.

As the teller held up the loose coins she said "oh look some are even silver". Is this her just not caring enough to take those out of her till? Or is this her way of saying "I know what you're doing but I'm not allowed to take these home please pay me a premium for them" |
