Today I got the latest Numismatic News. Each month it lists all the coin production figures.
Thus far this year the mint has produced 0 (zero) nickels.
The other coins are being produced, billions of cents, even half dollars, but no nickels.
It is VERY interesting.

That and the fact they might think that they have more nickels already than they need. Not knowing many of them are being hoarded.
I know I keep saying it, but in my humble opinion, if anyone wants U.S. nickels and doesn't want to have to sort them then there may never be a better time to obtain them than now.
