I seem to recall that scrap prices and base metals in general traditionally take a dip in the Summer much like precious metals do. Will that occur this year? I don't know.

As volatile as the market is, it wouldn't surprise me to see a drop in prices for a little while. My yard has already pulled back prices as of yesterday in anticipation of a decline. I have already sold off my stockpile a couple of weeks ago, it was the right choice for me anyways.

Funny how that works... Yards are proactive when it comes to paying less but when it comes to paying more the increases seem to take weeks to phase in. Meh, it is what it is
