Fat boy here needs to lose weight. So I've been walking a mile a day while on break from my RN job. So far, every day in the past week, I have found from five to eight pennies strewn along the road I walk. I don't vary my path, so either someone is cleaning their ashtrays, kids drop em and leave em, or whatever. Their loss, my gain, or loss... or... whatever

Lucky you. Every time I walk the dog, morning and night, I only find a cigarette butt or a gum wrapper. Some guys have all the luck! |

If you're an RN...aren't you on your feet all day? I don't know how you can maintain excess body fat around a job like that.

*Going for a walk* Of course I don't expect to get near the mileage in pennies that beauanderos does. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available. |

I know exactly how he maintains excess body fat. He recycles as many pie tins as I do beer cans

I don't have any better of an excuse beau, I'm a desk jockey at work and retire to a chair at home for the coin project. These two powers combined do not keep me in shape either.
Walking what is this crazy fad? Give me a scooter that has a trailer hitch for my penny cart. |

If my walks produced pockets of change I would probably be walking a lot more after work.
I do find a lot of change in the parking lot at work but no major finds other than some copper pieces. |

Good for you beauanderos. Walking is one of the easiest and pleasant ways to get back in shape. Keep it up.
I try to walk whenever possible and when I do, I usually find all sorts of goodies; pennies are the most found item along with other small US coinage, earrings, pens, watches - you get the idea. Over the years I have found over $200 in cash alone.
I agree with the other poster, dakota1955, look up, I once got a knot on my head because I didn't watch where I was going. I haven't done that again...

Finding coins in the parking lot at work? Heaven help my colleagues! They are just as poor as me. In the parking lot I will usually find a paper clip or a business pen run over partially. |
