I'm in to the new version of GIM and I read around a bit. You have to read between the lines a little but it looks like the SHTF big time recently - mods went at each other - major disagreement on the direction of the forum. Many many member bans reported. It got so bad that the founder pulled the plug and shut everything down with almost no notice. What a disaster.
I am so thankful for the strong team of Mods and Admins we have here at Realcent. To date I've never seen a disagreement between management on the correct course of action, before or after it was taken. Kudos to Ardent Listener for his positive leadership and for setting the tone of respect we all can follow.

One of the mods said it started 6 months ago, but the domain name was registered on March 13 and the forum software was pretty much in its default state, so it seems that it was a more abrupt transition than they admit. The guy that ran GIM is posting on GIM2, but not as a moderator or administrator. Wish I would have known ahead of time so I could have grabbed some stuff; I didn't find out until I found this thread yesterday, and GIM was already toast. |

It looks like that latest member to join brought down the house!  Seriously, I'm going to sit back and wait to see how GIM2 develops before participating. I was just getting used to GIM1 when I read the "Major Announcement" posts. The membership there sure is colorful and I enjoy the banter. But I go there for the information. Still... nothing compares to Realcent. |

We moderators and administrators each have our own opinions concerning certain subjects, but we all pull together for the sake of Realcent. I say Kudos to all those who are involved or who have been involved with the management here. But most of all I say Kudos to all the membership of Realcent.
