For the past month I've been getting boxes with no stamp marks and little to no silver. This week one of the four boxes had a stamp (with a date just 5 day ago), and it gave up three silvers. Hopefully I've made it through the bad boxes.

| I forgot to add to my original post that one of the rolls had a Susan B. Anthony dollar in place of a half. I thought it was a quarter until I turned it over and saw her looking back at me.. So plus $0.50 out of the $90.00 in CWR's.. |

I didn't expect much as I suspected someone turned in a half a box after weight cheking them but decided to take the 1/2 box anyway and was very pleasantly surprised...my 1st 90% in a long time.

Silver dimes found - one -- 1/1960
2009 dimes found - none -- This one is getting old. We are one-third of the way through 2010 now and still not one 2009 dime found by me.
Other found - one -- 1/1990 UK 5 Pence
Other stats: TEN rolls shorted ten cents each roll, NINE rolls over ten cents each roll -- Can't people count or don't they care???  That's over 37% of the rolls being incorrect in their count! That would be a 63 if it were a test or quiz and that means an F from the grading when I attended school. Unacceptable!!!

1- Asian coin with the only identifiable marking being a 50. The coin has reeds and has a grain of some type on one face.

along with opening the penny rolls showing a wheat, the two buffalos showing, i had ONE roll from a year and a half that showed a war.

sorry my usualy obtuse writing.
i had saved a nickel roll that had a war showing. yesterday i opened it. but am not including it in my normal, 1,000$ REPORT.
i had also saved aside , two nickel rolls that had buffalos showing on the end of the roll.
and 75 rolls of pennies that had a wheat showing.
trying to clean up my work area a bit. |

box 3---1945 Mercury dime and a 1956-D Roosevelt
also found 2 Canadian dimes in the boxes
box 3 had 2 rolls that were short one dime each |

WHAT A WAY TO END THE MONTH!!!!
I picked up $270 in loose halves from my bank and got a nice handfull of silver PLUS an 1801 large cent!!
I got 2 1954 halves, one 1964 JFK and 17 40%ers and a 1988-S NIFC
The large cent is in fair to AG condition. The only way to read the date is a faint 01 down where the date should be. This is by far the oldest coin I have found. My oldest before this one was a 1912 Barber dime. I skipped right past to ever finding an Indian to finding a Draped Bust cent!
As soon as I figure out how to take a good picture, I'll try to post a pic. |
