A friend of mine has about $25.00 face value in Canadian Nickels. Most of them are pure nickel, but there are some chrome plated steel coins from the 1940's and 1950's. From what I saw, most were dated between 1937 and mid 1960's. They generally grade between Fine-AU.
I gave my friend him 2x face for his Canadian nickels, because there was a high percentage of better grade coins. Most were before 1960, but there was only one George V. It was a 1927.
It turned out to be a much larger lot than I originally thought. It was $50.00 face, not $25.00.
