Going though my second bag for this week I found 2 war-nick, about 100 pre 64s and a supernice 39-s in AU condition. On the avg. how many pre-64s does one find per bag of $200.
I just completed going through my first $200 bag of nickles. They came from my credit union where they have a coin sorter in the lobby. Here is what the bag produced:
That makes for a total of 127 pre-64 nickles in a $200 bag, or about 3%. No pre-82 Canadians, which suprised me for being only an hour from Canada. Only about four Canadians in all. Having only sorted copper before, I didn't find the nickles to be as enjoyable. They worked well on my penny sorting table, but it seems I burned through the bag quickly and without as much anticipation. Think I'll do another bag...
I think that because Pre-82 Canadian is .999 nickel and magnetic that the machine might do one of two things: 1. Spit it back out like most Canadian Coinage 2. Will get stuck on one of the magnets
It would be interesting to keep a tally of the coins (if any) that appear in the following: Steel pennies, .999 nickels, other magnetic coinage and see if they ever show up in bags

I have found one steelie in over a million searched. That compares to 13 Indians and 5 King George V's.
