These sets tend to have the coins cleaned in some cases to make it appeal to the buying public so be aware of this.

If I am reading this correctly, your able to buy 5 cents in a hard plastic case for $1.51? If so and the coins arent cleaned then thats an AWESOME DEAL!

1915-S pennies book at $12 Min. in most cases! Hope this helps.

Check the wheat ears for wear on the back of the coins.

But, for 1.51, Whats the downside?

Buy what you like.

I think since they have different mint marks the 1915-S is just a tease. You will get P mint coins. So it is probably not such a great deal. You have a better chance of getting a 1914-D in one of those "unsearched bags" on ebay than you do of getting one in one of these sets.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Can you check each set for the mintmarks before you buy them all?

I would be skeptical of getting good mint marks. If the guy is selling penny sets, he more than likely knows what they are worth.

Are you throwing that out?

Unless you are sure of what coins you are getting, you're almost certainly NOT getting teen S-mints. I see it as this: five basic teen wheats, for a buck. One nice case for 51 cents. Sounds like a decent deal to me. I'd buy a few if I was there to see them.

These are at a salvage store so I can look at the dates befor I buy them. I sell some things at a auction so I think these would bring $3-$7 there if the coins are so so.

Can you go through and cherrypick the ones with mint marks, or do you have to buy all of them to get the deal?
