I have been searching halves for at least 1 1/2 years. Buying at least $2000 a week to search. When I starting being able to buy bags, my percentages went up.
Well last night I pulled a 1957 Franklin out of a bag. I have found some 64's in the past, but never anything older.
So this was an exciting moment for me. Now I am looking for that Walking Liberty.

Congrats and good luck on the walker. I think my first franklin and walker came within a week of each other.
Where do you get the bags? Does the bank order them for you or are they from counting machines? I have only been able to get one bag. It was sweet. I think it had 70-80 silvers in it. It has been over a year now and the bag in the counter only has $189 in it. It will be another 5 years before it is full again. |

| Congrats. That's actually an amazing stat - to go through that many halves and NOT find one. I find one maybe every couple thousand halves but I do all CWR's. Hopefully this one was a breakthrough for you and they'll appear a little more often. |

Congratulations... When I got my first 90% it consisted of a 45-S Walker, 51-D Franklin, and a 64 Kennedy all in one pick-up from a teller.. Then today just 4 days since those 3 I picked-up another Franklin and a 64 Kennedy again loose from tellers. I seem to have the best luck picking from tellers rather than rolls or boxes. I have not searched any bags yet..
Do you guys just ask the tellers for the bags from the coin counters? |

I have a bank that can order loose in bags. I got a canvas bag once. They are 1000.00 bags. coin lok.
I had one that had 229 silver halves. only 2 were 90 percent.
I have done the CWR thing a few times, but I really don't have the time to ride around all day. I order because it is the easiest for me.
