Well now that I'm out of a storage unit and preparing to move to GA, today was part 1 of my turn-ins.

7lb. insulated copper - 65% return - $9.80 @ 1.40lb.
1 radiator/AC unit - $10
716lb. iron - $42.96 @ .06lb.
2lb. stainless steel - $1.00 @ .50lb.
28lb. electric motors - $5.60 @ .20lb.
120lb. aluminum cans - $72.00 @ .60lb.

Total - $131.36

Tomorrow I have a few hundred pounds of aluminum that I stripped off of 6/1 cables, and probably 100+ pounds of yellow brass. Not sure if I'm gonna dump my copper stash, I'll probably pack it up and take it with me.

Day 2 of my storage clean-out.

546lb. of EC aluminum wire - $229.32 @ .42lb.

Total - $229.32

Took me forever to break those 6/1 cables down but it was worth it in the end. The whole load filled the bed of my truck! Tomorrow I'm gonna dump my yellow brass stash and some more aluminum odds and ends.

The end of last week we recycled/scrapped 35 pounds of aluminum cans. No place to store anymore so they had to go. It took a long time to get this many saved up though.

In Central Florida the rate was 35 cents/pound.

You must be in a deposit state. What is the deposit on a plastic bottle or glass?
