Hi all - Just wanted to introduce myself and say how excited I am to be joining the forums. I've been lurking on the site for the past few weeks, and have tried to soak up as much info as possible. This site really is an outstanding resource, and seems like a nice little community as well.

As for myself, I am brand new to the game, but already feel like I'm hooked. I'm only hand sorting a box or two at a time, but am definitely loving it. Focusing on Cu at the moment, but definitely want to delve deeper into Ag in the future as well - I actually pulled my first Ag dime out of a box today, so that was kinda sweet :0) So far the whole process has been a fun little rush, and I definitely owe a lot of it to this site.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to participating.

I love the name Nice2Cu :) Very cool.

It still is a thrill for me to find a copper penny in my change. After a while you just seem to sense that they are copper. Welcome Nice2Cu.

Thanks for the welcome guys! Thogey, my post was a bit misleading...I found my first Ag Dime in a box of dimes today - not nearly as exciting, hah. It was actually the only one in the box, but it was quite a rush to find it! It was also nice to not get skunked in my first non-penny box :)

Thats one of the nice things about searching copper - I always feel like Im contributing something to the hoard. Plus, you get the little waves of excitement from finding wheats and Canadians and what not. Fun times.

When I dump a roll of cents, I get the same feeling as if I'm pulling the lever on a slot machine, or roll the dice at craps.

And the great thing is YOU CAN'T LOSE!.

Sorry for yelling.

Edit for spelling

BTW,

Dimes in cent rolls, even silvers, do happen, more than you would think.

Hey Nice2Cu, clever handle. Wish I would have thought of that. I've been on a similar trajectory as yourself and thus new here as well. Silver is hard to find but copper is super easy. Have fun.

Thanks man! Yea I'm already starting to think about it way too often - On my way home from work tonight, I was strongly considering swinging by the supermarket just to pick up a few rolls to hold me over for the night. This can't be healthy lol.
