Yupper. It was in a brinks roll. I take all my wheat finds and seperate them by years into baggies, 20's, 30's and so on. Not being aware of mintage figures, I went on line, and found the low mintage of the 31-s. Needless to say it now has its own special spot away from the others.

You're kidding, right?

You should encase it in a cardboard 2X2, 3 Blue Stars. That way, it will be kept away from air, getting scratched, and getting handled.

Right now it's wrapped in tissue and in the safe. I should probably take some "long term" action just to be safe. Thanks for the reminder.

I just found my 1st Canadian large cent with a metal detector yesterday

a 1918 George the 5th in poor condition but I'll take it.

It came from the field of the (now shutdown) elementary school of my youth.

Harewood Elementary School built 1914

Here's a shot oddly enough taken in 1918

Would have LOVED to have bought rolls of pennies back in 1918, but of course, people will be saying that 100 years from now, and we will have done so already. Ha! Interesting picture by the way.
3 Blue Stars: you're welcome.

Got a 1943 silver dime in a roll of pennies today from Wells Fargo!

Read Atlas Shrugged if you want to know why this country is in the crapper.

Found a 1909 Lincoln cent today in about F12 condition. Also have found a 1914-S in About Good before.

Hoard now and hold on!
