I haven't done very much scrapping since I wrecked my truck awhile back, but I went out tonight and ran part of my old scrap route. I only found a little scrap I could fit in the car. What kills me is the six or seven hundred pounds of steel I had to leave sitting! Last time I checked steel was at a nickel a lb., so around thirty dollars just sitting in the trash! I always liked hauling steel as all I had to do was load it up, then push it off at the scrap yard. Very little cleaning was required. Now I tend to stick with copper bearing scrap as it's usually smaller.

That sux! A truck is mans best friend! Ha HA Well that's what I think anyway. I feel for you I am lost without a truck.

Another member, Preserving the Past, is not far from here either. I get over your way sometimes. We like Anna Maria Island quite a bit. |
