Today I sold 2 bicentennial halves to a friend of mine at school for a dollar each. I told him I was ripping him off but he didn't care. After the deal I jokingly said I'll sell you every half I have for $.75 and to my surprise he said fine by me. He uses them for targets or something and said he can't buy the targets for under a dollar. I also mentioned that if he pays me in Cu cents or nickels then we could trade at FV. I don't sort halves yet but if/when I start, I found my dump. This looks like it could work well for me.

He's going to use them for targets, though? Meaning, the coins will be considered defaced or damaged. Not sure that is a good (or legal) fate even for the clads. Rough.
Anyway, good luck!

He can do whatever he wants with them once their off my hands.

Its legal as long as they are not defaced with intent to defraud.

I can get him $2k a week, give me his name and number and he can have an infinate supply of targets.

If he uses them for target practice, this will take some of the "SKUNKS" out of circulation .

If he shoots enough, that might help thin out the clad in your area :)

I'd just assume he got them out of the vaults of the fed. They have enough of the damn things that aren't being used for anything. I don't get why the fed doesn't melt them down to reclaim the copper. They don't circulate anymore, theres a reason they quit making circulating halves in 2003.
