Yep, like 0CD said, it's the right time and place. Maybe there has been relatively little searching in my area and there is a lot of unmined silver sitting in storage just waiting to be found. It may not last, but I'm enjoying it for now. |

And here I thought when you said the 5 gallon bucket was almost full you were taling about the bucket you drop the silver halves into.
What do you have to do to package them for return?
I either have to wait for a day during the week when I can go to my Credit Union to use their machine or toss them in the rolling machine and roll them up. I guess I could bag them and drop them off at BofA during lunch, but for some reason I don't think they would be excited to see me turning in bags of halves there.. and I don't want to mess up one of my penny dump sites.

Hoard, I can't pickup the bucket....I suppose I can use my dolly and then my liftgate on my truck to transport however I am afraid the bucket may break or crack open...what to do what to do...now that the fun is over |

| fasteddy.. Safety first! That's why I have stacks of 2.5 gallon buckets.. so I can decant the coins into manageable size buckets. Just put a gallon in each of 5 canvas bank bags. Safe to transport and easy to lift. |

make a scoop and put them in smaller containers. I hit the counters at a few branches with that much or hope for a friendly helper at a branch who will smile through the process. I have three counters less tha 5 minutes from each other.
I could not imagine rolling and returning.
Lets hear what you you did to solve the problem.

Rolling is not so bad if you don't do many halves.. or if you have machines that do the rolling for you.
$18 face halves - 1 machine roll and $8 fv from teller tray
Skunk - There goes the percentage!

I went through the $250.00 box of dimes and got skunked..
Picked up 2 BWR from 2 different banks and skunked..
Picked up 1 $250.00 box of dimes and found a 1942-S Mercury Dime.
Picked up a $500.00 bag of rolled dimes and found (1) 1957-D Roosie and a Canadian Dime (Non-Silver).
At least I didn't get skunked.. I did have one long roll with 2 extra dimes.. |

Do any of you guy's weigh you rolls before you open them? I've started doing that just to check for short and long rolls. If I have a short roll I will take it back to the bank and exchange it. I have not found any short rolls yet. But I did find the long roll because it was nearly 4 grams heavy.. I was hoping for a rich silver roll on that one, oh well..
I have noticed that the rolls that I have pulled the silver dimes from have been just above average on the weight by about half a gram. |

19 - 40%s all in the same roll with a 2001 clad. I always find it odd when there's a nearly solid silver roll with one or two clads in the middle (?). |

That was one solid roll of silver containing 22 mercs and 28 Rosies - I kinda thought that roll was a bit heavy when I picked it up.
Oldest - 1916.. I looked and I looked and looked and I looked.. but the only D's I could find on it were in the words United and Dime.
and 1 silver Roosie in one of the other rolls.
