I like it Eddy.. "only had time to do 2 boxes tonight"

That's like me saying I only had time to sort 24 boxes of pennies tonight.

And here I thought it was a big deal adding 2 boxes of halves to my weekly penny order.. lol. Yep, you guys finally got me. I got the bug. If I do half as well as fasteddy did on his 2 boxes I will really be hooked. If I get skunked on the halves at least I have 24 boxes of pennies that will be sure to yield some copper.. heck I might even get a few boxes of shiny zincs.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

My little bank run on the way to dump some zincolns paid off:

$150 in bank-wrapped dimes ($100 paper and $50 in plastic):

Paper:
1 - 1959
1 - 1964

Plastic:
1 - 1959

I'll take paper AND plastic

$5.50 in teller halves:
1 - 1967 (40%) possible error (I am not an error expert).

Looks like a third of the rim centered on the "R" in liberty has a step in it, like the machine doubled. The opposite area near the "L" has practically no rim.

It's Half Time...all the time.

What's the date of the 40%er?

If there isn't a 1976-S, it's not 40% SILVER.

Thanks for the reply Country.
Messed up this post....
I found:
2 - 90% - 1964
3 - 40%Clad - 1967,1967,1968

I wish the 76 has an "S" on it. My best guess is that it was platted or something like that. There is a whole lot of glue on the back side. Back to the bank it goes!

Not a bad day for teller trays..

First 3 banks had no halves.. Next bank had 2 halves, skunked. Hit one more bank and the teller told me he had about $6.00. I pulled a Franklin and 3 40% out of those.. The next bank that had some had $12.00 and they were skunks. But I hit one last bank and the teller told me she only had 1 half dollar. It turned out to be a 1964 Kennedy..

Total:
$19.50 in loose teller halves:

(2) 90% (1) 1962-D Frankilin, (1) 1964 Kennedy it did have a hole drilled.. But I'll take it..
(3) 40% (1) 1966, (2) 1969-D

Still have a $250.00 box of dimes to sort through..

I've fallen about a week behind posting search results...

$1,250.00 Dimes.

Breakdown:

$250.00 - CWI box

1991 Poland 2 Grosze

$250.00 - CWI box

(1) 90% Silver Mercury - 26
(1) 90% Silver Roosevelt - 54D

$250.00 - CWI box

S K U N K

$500.00 - Bag from bank coin counter

(4) 90% Silver Roosevelt - 50S, 52S, 63D, 64
1980-S Roosevelt Clad Proof
1998 Barbados 10 cents

I will admit it was by complete luck that I found the Proof Dime. I do not date check them, but I do look at very new looking coins (bright orange edges/full reeds) looking for 2009's. It was a shocker to locate the 1980-S proof.

I have quite a bit of halves to report (with some good results...FINALLY!!!) but I will need to compile them.

Jeff

New SILVER stats have been posted. Look to the first post of this thread to get the details. Always look to the line just before the Kitco quotes to see the last post that was included in the latest update.
