$1000 halves
2 40%
1 maybe-proof 40%

Details:

Box 1:
1 penny: 1993D
1 missing half

Box 2:
2 Kennedy 40%: 1967, 1969D
1 maybe-proof 40%: 1976S

(I understand there were both proof and non-proof 40% 1976S halves. I can't say for sure which I found.)

I'll call this 1976-S a 40% proof. The 1976-S 40% circulation strikes have a soft satin-like SILVER patina. If your 1976-S 40% exhibits proof-like qualities, it probably is the proof version of the 1976-S 40% coin.

1-Box Nickels

3-WN
1-1935D Buf, highly detailed.

makes me feel a little better about the last two skunks.

I hate getting less than a silver a box on average.

The average does seem to stay around one per box plus one coin of interest (or a little less).

I am plucking cherries for a new album.

$250.00 dimes (1 CWI box).

(2) 90% Silver Roosevelt - 48S, 60
Great Britain 5 Pence - 1990 (same date as I got earlier this year)

It was nice to find two different dates (which I had not previously found) on the Roos. Unfortunately the 1948-S had a couple of small gouges in it and the 8 in the date could only be made out using my Radio Shack handheld 30X microscope!!! But...silver is silver!!!

$500 Halves - Brinks Box

6 Kennedy Clad NIFCs - '04P,'04D(4),'07P

Only two boxes of halves this week for me. My main source bank did not order 6 boxes for me. So, I grabbed some boxes of dimes from some other banks.

I'm sure glad I got the good box of SILVERs.

WELCOME!!

If you are planning to post ALL of your 2010 WAR nick, SILVER dime, and SILVER half dollar searching right here in this thread, go ahead and make an official post here. That way your great SILVER CWR find won't hurt the stats. All I ask is that you to post your SKUNKS too!!

So the teller who sold me the dimes knows I am a coin collector and said I think I have what you are looking for. She reaches into her till and pulls out a 1957 dime. She said it looked different so she figured it was what I was looking for. I said thank you and offered to give her face value for it, but she said I could have it! This bank will get chocolates when I go by next week.

Well after reading about Beauanderos' good luck last night I had to get some half dollars for myself. Don't you just love it when you can see the silver stripe on the half dollars in the teller tray? Stopped at a grocery store bank and saw this tonight.

Starting March off right.
4 halves from teller tray
1 40% coin - 1965!
Of course Country will probably have some ungodly minimum # of halves searched for it to officially count.. but I am happy with my 25% today.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

March is in like a lion for me...

Bank #1:

$620 in vault bag

89 - 90% (included 11 Bens, one of which was a 53-S)
308 - 40%

Dream bag! The 45 minutes it took to get this bag out of the bank was surreal though, I should type up the story sometime...

Bank #2:

$80 from bag - skunk

I didn't get many pennies bought today...lol. But I will w/ the proceeds!
